Transformers: Origin of Megatron: Lighting

The Plot

Ten years before Legacy of Unicron...

Optimus Prime and Megatron are testing the Matrix's power in a secret lab.

Little do they know that Ternabis, Sparten leader, is also in the lab in the form of black ooze.

Suddenly, he forms and cries out that he wants the Matrix.

"Megatron!" shouts Optimus, "Put it in the you-know-what!!"

Megatron quickly puts the Matrix in the rocket, and it is sent to earth.

"Fools! I will be back!" rasps Ternabis.

Five years later...

Megatron and Optimus are arguing about who will get the Matrix.

Ternabis has not been seen since.

Ternabis is actually constructing Unicron to work for him.

"The Matrix would have brought you back right away," he says, "But I have this instead,"

He lifts up a dead Transformer, Blitzwing. "I'll take your Allspark now. Heh heh heh,"

Unicron is suddunly alive and powerless to do anything but Ternabis's bidding!

Unicron begins destroying Cybertron for Ternabis.

Megatron thinks he knows how to stop him:

If he douses Unicron's Allspark, Unicron will go back to sleep.

Megatron needs help, because his Desepticon gang: Starscream, Lugnut and Dead-End, are practically useless in facing Unicron. So he goes to the Dinobots for help.

Instead of helping destroy Unicron, they try to stop Optimus and his gang, the Autobots.

Megatron manages to get up to Unicron's Allspark, but just as he is about to pour the water on it, Ternabis returns and tries to wipe him out. His blast misses, but it strikes Starscream and Bulkhead, and sends them flying down to earth like a comet. Enraged, Turnibis strikes Unicron.

This time, it hits Unicron's chest, and suddenly Unicron shrinks until he is a shadow of his past self.

Megatron, taking advantage of the momentary distraction,

blasts Ternabis and kills him.

he is about to do the same for Unicron, but Unicron starts to stop destroying Cybertron, and seems like he was under a spell. Megatron, seeing how valuable Unicron would be in a battle, asks him to join the Desepticons. Unicron accepts, and soon everything is all right again. For now.
